Chronology of cameras Kodak

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand.

This box belongs to a series of metal box manufactured in the United Kingdom as of the end of the second war. The models are: C, D, E and F. The “model I” does not form part of this series, since its name does not start with “Six-20”. The alphabetical denominations correspond each one to a level of equipment or completion. Thus, D and the E had almost the same period of manufacture, but the E has a yellow filter, that D does not have. The F, is a more luxurious completion of the E.
There are two variants of this “E”. The first, manufactured of 1947 to 1953 has vertical stripes and a metal button, the second, manufactured of 1953 to 1957, has horizontal stripes and a plastic button. The E has a meniscus lens of 100 mm which opens to 11. It is equipped with a portrait lens assembled on one of the two visible pull knobs on the left, the other being a yellow filter. It has a latch of locking against inopportune releases, a threading for flexible shutter release and two pins for flash.
